Are You Losing the Time Management Battle?
Does your life sometimes feel like there’s just too much to do and not enough time to do it in?
Can it sometimes feel like you are trying to keep 10 or more plates spinning on the end of very long wobbly poles, like some circus act.
In the work place people are reporting that they are trying to cope with an ever growing “To Do” list with tighter and tight time frames and smaller and smaller budgets, while also trying to balance the very real demands of family and relationships
Especially in the current climate, where people are being made redundant or resigning and not being replaced.
So more and more, is being asked to be done by fewer and fewer people.
Now you could argue that there is less to be done, and that’s why people are being made redundant or aren’t being replaced, but that doesn’t seem to be true in every case.
Aside from that, on investigation, a couple of common issues generally start to appear.
Firstly. How to cope with the growing expectations of other people? (Your boss, staff, customers and even family)
Secondly. Is how to cope with your own feelings & expectations? If you expect yourself to do it all your self (Mums are good at this, I respectfully call it the superwomen syndrome), not wanting to let anyone down, feel guilty for not coping or inversely resenting the added obligations.
Thirdly. Is how to see the wood from the trees, in other words “What’s Important & relevant” vs “What’s not as important or maybe even relevant”
All over shadowed by a very real sense of overwhelm or impending doom.
The “Oh my god, where do I start!” feeling.
Most people might agree that it’s pretty hard to think clearly when it feels like you haven’t even got time to pause.
However there is a solution to this very common challenge that enables the user to enjoy real relief, improve the quality of their life and do so in a sustainable way.
Take a look at one of our earlier blog posts entitled “Achieve the Things that are Important to You,” in particular the part that explains Chapter Six of the Go For Gold, Goal Setting that Really Works Program, which is all about “Proven ways of Leveraging Time and how to enjoy true quality of life”.
