Money! Do You Wish You Had More of it?
Money, love it or hate it, most people can benefit from having more of it in their lives.
Whether to improve their own situation or to help to improve the lives of others, money is one of those commodities, that when you have it, you can make those sorts of decisions, more freely.
By studying people who have become wealthy, what we have found is that they have learned to think about money quite differently from those who don’t have enough.
Robert Kiosaki, one of the worlds leading authorities on how to move from very real poverty, to create true and sustainable wealth as he did, would ask; “if money could talk, what would it say to you?”
“Hello, or, good-bye!”
He believes, as we believe, that the creation of wealth starts with how you think.
Yes you need to learn about Cash Flow and Profit & Loss, and yes you need to learn about Return on Investment and Tax and legal’s and or your chosen profession or field of expertise.
And yes some of that maybe daunting or boring.
But largely coming to grips with those things are a by product of being truly mentally, and emotionally involved in the creation of your goal.
What Gets in the Way
What is it that stops you from becoming as wealthy as you want to be?
Our research proves that becoming wealthy has less to do with how much you earn and more to do with other intangibles than almost anything else.
People who become wealthy do some things that are so blindingly simple that they go completely un-noticed by the casual observer.
And they do other things, that only by getting very very close, can you ever hope to discover.
Tell me, have you ever started the week with say $20 in your pocket?
And at the end of the week, when you check your pockets, you’ve got say $1.50 left, and you’re completely baffled as to where the rest went?
Does that also happen to your pay check or within your business?
Or do you know of anyone who has had the experience where some extra money has come in, and you think, great, I can save that, and then some un-expected bill arrives, or something else happens that completely sucks up all of that spare cash?
The truth is, that there are some very tangible reasons just below the horizon of your consciousness, that will continue to ambush your every effort, if left unchanged.
Vows of Poverty
Research shows, that all physical tangible wealth, first started as a thought.
And that thought grew in clarity & feeling until it became reality.
Research also shows that all physical tangible poverty started in exactly the same way.
What this means is that, as human beings, we have the innate inborn ability to create what we want.
We only need understand how to “turn on” this ability….

Tom Humes
I found your blog on google and read a few of your other posts. I just added you to my Google News Reader. Keep up the good work. Look forward to reading more from you in the future.
ill never be rich because the forces of this world have me locked in a state of poverty. Another words, the universe is operating on some unknown dynamic and I have been born with the wrong force or energy…can it be changed, sure..but that is not an easy task and starting out with nothing to invest and not having the fortune to come into a relationship with those who could take me under their wing ( as the proverbial saying goes ) I can hear story after story and attend workshop after workshop but the truth is…I just do not have what it takes and that is just the beginning.
Forgive my choice of words but, it sucks!! I want to succeed…I want to be independent. I have a great mind, am of good intelligence, but not even a modicum of faith.
Dear Robertm7n
Thank you for your email.
Can I start by saying that in order to answer your Email and give you some… more choices… I’m going to be fairly upfront in the way in which I write this email. As such, you may or may not have some feelings as you read, and just know that if that occurs, it’s OK to feel that… change.
The kinds of thoughts that you have stated in your Email as being facts are in-fact relatively common thoughts, especially if all of the evidence in your life’s experience so far, suggests that they are true. The truth of course is relative to the story’s we listen to or tell ourselves and the thoughts that we think and our interpretation of the evidence that we see and then accept as “being” true.
So our beliefs about “what’s true” are really just subjective thoughts about a thing or event or person or the world. And as such may not be based on… the truth.
The reality is, that you and I know both know that the truth can be whatever we decide it to be. Like the sky is blue, when in-fact it is not, the world is flat, which of course it isn’t. The Earth is the centre of the Universe, which of course was another wee miscalculation, and the list goes on.
The words; “I can’t” or “I’ll never.” Stating a positive then putting “but” followed by a cancelling negative. Submitting to the idea that you are at the mercy of some all powerful and unidentifiable “Force” are all strategies that would leave even the most confident and capable person, feeling dis- empowered.
If you were to continue to believe that there are “Forces who are gathered to keep you locked into a state of poverty” then that rule will indeed keep you locked up and poor. Vows of Poverty are as common as wealth is as normal and natural.
Even the Science of Quantum Physic’s at one end of the scale and Spiritual healers at the other, agree that energy is just that, energy. We decide as individuals what form it takes and to what end it is used. It is a tool, it’s not the craftsmen. You are the one who determines how the tool is used and what is craved and shaped and attracted.
When you think about it, to maintain a state of poverty in a western society all we have to do is spend more than we earn and then limit our choices around making more money. And if we look around you will see lots of people making those sorts of decisions and then being unhappy with the results.
Having said that, those states are very easy to change once you know how.
A small but important example of this is the part of our brain called the Reticular Activating System. It’s designed to “See” and pull into the foreground of our attention, everything that we choose to focus on. Regardless of whether it’s good for us or not. You focus on it, (it, being a line of thought or behaviour) and hey presto, that’s what we see and experience.
Now depending on what you will allow yourself, this realisation may be a bolt of good news or a cloud of bad news.
You may feel like, hey maybe I can get more of what I want by focusing on what I want, instead of focusing on what I don’t want and haven’t got. Or inversely you may feel like fighting with me in order to defend what you already believe to be true. Of course that’s up to you.
So depending on whether you actually want other view points that you could accept as the “new and more useful” truth for you and in so doing then….. set yourself free…. or whether you are just happy to keep your current viewpoints and the limitations that they clearly have on your life, are choices that you are always free to make.
If you are hesitating, I would encourage you to consider that if you state to yourself “I’ll never be rich” and then act in a manner consistent with that belief, then you will be successful in achieving that goal.
On the other hand, if you were to consider the possibilities that are stirred by stating to yourself “I am capable of learning how to be rich” and then acting in a manner consistent with that, then you clearly leverage the probabilities of achieving that much more useful outcome.
As I write and as you read please remember that my goal is to help you to be free. My question is, whats your goal.
To be free or to defend your current state?
What ever your goal is, you will achieve it.
The task is as easy or as hard as you wish it to be. Great Change does not have to come at great cost or great pain. The fact that you wrote your email so eloquently tells me that you are more capable than you may think or that you are letting on. And That kind of clarity within the clutter means that you can achieve more than you may currently believe. Because in your skepticism I see real talent.
Here are two points to consider;
1. People will help you, if you let them.
2. People will help you, if they can see that you are genuinely committed to helping yourself.
The truth is, you do have what it takes…. and that’s just the beginning…
Your challenges are the challenges of many. The answers and freedom that you and they are both looking for, are contained within the “Go for Gold - Goal Setting that Really Works” Program. That’s why I created it.
All the best
David Michael Martin
